Am I the only one who thinks things like "If we can do this with a $300 console, $300 (?) robot, and some software... that we are not that far off from fighting wars with them?" -Just a thought
You are right Mook. Luckely, we are still superior to AI, so that we would still be the one fight one another, only with robots. Would be more scary when AI on itself could make the robots fight us, humans. Then sci fi wouldn't be that great anymore.
Actually we already are fighting wars with robots. Sure, they don't look humanoid but nonetheless the drones are robots, and so is this fellow http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2007/08/httpwwwnational/

Yeah, this is quite astonishing really. I know from reading popular science that humanoid robots have been developed rather a lot lately, but to see it in action is something else.
we're probably just tankproof set of humanoid armour away from the world becoming a mecha anime.
If you look at the computer behind it, it looks like a computer from the late 90s...which means they probably have pushed this technology even further by now.....
