I think anyone should be able to experience the ancient ornaments still around in the city they live in. In Europe, almost every great city has a authentic citycenter with ancient buildings like churches and cityhalls. In Amsterdam an Utrecht we also have the citycanals, which are really great things to see, and have meant a lot for the cities development, they are really build around them. Its a shame that in the US, most cities are relatively new, and lack these cultural ornaments, though there are still some pretty neat things to see, like at the beginning of this video, in the underground when those ancient arches were visible, though that looked really great, some piece of history.
And there's a totally different world down there, with these underground people. Some of them never experience daylight.
Fantastic. I just dont get it. Why do they live in the tunnels? Maybe thats a stupid question, i just dont get it..
Its called urban exploration, its exploring places you shouldnt be and seeing things from a different commonly disused perspective, check out http://www.28dayslater.co.uk/forums/ thats a british forum for urban exploring.
Beautiful!
It's not a stupid question, it's a rather good question. Why live in tunnels? Hmmm apart from the american 'justice' system seeing them as consequently worth nothing, the financial system would actually see them as a burden if they reemerged into society. Then the overwhelming majority would ignorantly put them down or say something like 'if you don't have a job you don't deserve to live here.' Now seeing as this will probably impede their efforts to make money and get 'back on their feet' they would undoubtedly end up on the streets homeless or in shelters. You already heard why they don't like shelters and having a roof over your head is better than living wide out in the open.
In short, they live in tunnels because they have few other options and the public will DO NOTHING to actually help them. *the public may feel like they are helping by drawing attention to them or forcing them to live in shelters, but does that really help them? or just make you feel good about yourself for 'trying to help them.'
^I can agree to that.
Wow, this video is pretty cool! These guys have balls, climbing a bridge and at risk of being arrested. Talk about being a rebel am I right or am I right?
Yeah, when you fill out a job application at a local mall kiosk they have a magical scanner that tells them where you sleep that they ALWAYS employ before highering people.
i also agree with figrut,too
