The Breach

Since its arrival in the Orbit of G-54, the prototype starship Hermes has not answered any communication nor given any sign of life. As the head of security of G-54, it is Sergei’s job to go aboard the Hermes and see what has happened. Use the arrow keys to move and the spacebar to fire and interact with objects. Press the I key to access your inventory and the M key to access the map.

    Yeah i liked this game, except for when you turn the other direction, the camera jolts, so if you turn multiple times fast, whatever, i didnt like that part.

    After looking at Berzerk's website & other games, I see that "borrowing" plots from other games is pretty much their MO. I'm guessing their efforts are focused more on the Flash medium, then.

    I love horror games, so I've played Breach repeatedly. "Swordless Ninja" and "Hero's Arms" are also highly addictive games from Berzerk. I can't leave Hero alone, which is sort of a problem for me, as I want to get other stuff done BUT I CAN'T. ;)

    The plot is a nearly direct rip-off of System Shock 2, while the presentation is similar to the first Duke Nukem or Metroid game.

    That said, it's still mechanically impressive and the environment was generally well done. If the game designer can find a solid writer and conceptual designer to work with, they could produce some really pay-worthy stuff together.

    Reminds me alot of event horizon. While an interesting story the game itself was strange, the bosses were easy to kill and regular enemies were hard in swam...

    It mentally was scary. the aiming could have been better and the reloading was not present. Its style reminded me of the old game boy metroid, but i found it fun and worth playing.
