Loyed, if you've been paying attention to the news recently (specifically out of Winnipeg) there's a HUGE problem with kids stealing cars here. They don't do it for profit, they do it for joyriding. In the last 3 years, it's escalated from 'just' joyriding for transportation to using the stolen vehicles as weapons. There are many stories of them putting bricks on the accelerator and sending the cars down back lanes. More recently, they've been getting brazen enough to seek out confrontations with the police just to get into a police chase. In a recent case, joyriding teens in a stolen Avalanche were doing 130kph in a 60 zone, T-boned a cab killing the driver instantly and sending the passenger to hospital for months. Two of the accused laughed about it both at the scene and then later when interviewed by police. This type of mindset by our criminal youth is just plain scary. Even scarier that it starts younger and younger.
