I don't appreciate being called a "Latter-day Saints c*#kf!*ker". The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and its 12+ million members around the world work very hard to serve their community and those young men that come to your door are giving up 2 years of their life to teach others about Jesus Christ. That alone deserves a little respect.

I don't appreciate being disturbed in the morning of my first day off after 50+ hour work week behind me.
I don't appreciate cheap religious pseudo-enthusiasm being served to me instead of relaxing breakfast.
I don't appreciate the creepy smile of a brainwashed individual who will maybe aknowledge evolution some day when he'll become the losing party in the one of it's most important theorems: survival of the fittest..

Doesn't that comment illustrate the hypocracy of the situation. WE (the heathen unwashed) are required to show a little respect but aren't in turn meant to be respected.

Oh, but wait. These young men are SACRIFICING two years of their lives. They mustn't have much love for God then, if this is a sacrifice. Abraham loved God so much he was willing to end his son's life and because of his love for God he didn't consider it a sacrifice but a symbol of his devotion.

If walking around for two years in a white shirt with a nametag on it is a sacrifice - you're in the wrong religion.

In the interests of religious harmony, I've decided to compile a list of all the positive contributions Mormons have made to society.

1. Napoleon Dynamite
2. Helpful documents about how to store food for emergency situations, that we should probably all be following to some degree, except that we're generally quite lazy.
3. A lower level of heaven more wonderful than we could ever imagine, that even us non believers and adulterous murderers get to go to! (Which is why I am rooting for them to be right above all the religions I don't believe in.)
4. Those comforting Latter-day Saints commercials that played during my Saturday morning cartoons when I was 10 and had no idea what Mormons even were.
5. Being less annoying than Jehovah's Witnesses

So you see, the Mormons are actually some pretty cool cats. It's just a shame they have to sully their name by coming to my door to "teach" me about Jesus. I already know about Jesus thank you very much, and so does everyone else in the modern world!

I can give no more respect to the "young men that come to my door to teach me about Jesus Christ" than I can give to the people who phone me every night during dinner and try and sell me credit card insurance or make me take a survey.

Just have the young men leave some literature in my mailbox. And make sure they don't ring the doorbell, I like to sleep in late.

Ah, I went straight for the comments because this is like waving the red cross before the Christian bull. :D

Offended Christians, please consider two things. First, to forgive is divine. So...forgive us. Second, you should feel smug. The rest of us are all going to Hell. :D So let us enjoy the here and now with our Saturday and Sunday mornings uninterrupted.

As for the sacrifice of the young men, I completely respect their freedom to choose this path. As they should respect my choice to sleep in.
