If those people were a good cross-section of Japan's population I would say this video makes me want to go there. They seemed so easy going. It made me feel like I could go there and be welcomed. Fun video.
It is a fun and easy-going place. Just remember your basic rules of etiquette (e.g. notice how those sitting in the background on the raised platform took their shoes off) and you'll be fine.
I was more relieved to see the apparent hygiene of the kitchen staff. I didn't see one "5 second on the floor rule" violation.
I like it, a lot, this makes me want to go to japan even more. One thing I noticed though is that the man around 0:20 was really, really, REALLY hungry.
I have a crush on Japan for a long time now.
you love it long time?
It's interesting to me how Japan is now one of America's strongest allies. I don't know how the Japanese really feel about Americans, but everyone I know, and with whom the subject has come up (which is actually considerable) loves the Japanese and would feel comfortable going there as a tourist.
Fun video, but the key thing about visiting Japan is that you go as a tourist- the locals will be very courteous to tourists, but try to live there and they'll look down on you.
At least they smile at a random camera on a conveyor belt....anyone else might steal the camera...
