I remember watching a short episode of this where the octopus dude tried to shoot down the sun. It was quite bizarre.

I was terribly confused by the random shots of cardboard cutouts at 00:21, 00:27, 00:52 and 00:53... And then by that whole rake thing.

My brother translated some of the dialogue. Apparently, the octopus/squid thing loves the pink walrus with inexplicable Stegosaurus horns, but her mother didn't like him, and he tries to win her respect... And that's where we lose it. I have no idea how a rake got involved.
you can't rate the japanese people by one strange video... i mean we have a whole ton of wierd tv shows and stuff (and half of it doesn't have a plot... i mean SERIOUSLY at least THEY try to give a storyline!!!)
I'm sorry Japan I love your game shows, but this... no... epic no.
