Not only do commercials come every 5 minutes to interrupt your crappy show, but they have lost all relevance to their product now.
this looks so wrong to start with. and i agree with chebaka, this has no relevance to chocolate in any way.
on a minor note.....Phil Collin rocks
I get that exact same look when I'm sitting on the porcelain throne trying to squeeze out some chocolate. Ironic, don't you think?
i saw this advert on tv last night, and i just dont understand it. i dont like tv adverts that makes me think.
I agree with everyone this commercial is tottaly idiotic and it has no point
Seriouslt did the Cadbury people sit down in a boardroom somewhere and actually go "Ok, brainstorming time you over there tell me your idea."
"Well what if we made a gorilla play the drums while listening to Phil Collins?"
"Thats the best idea ever MAKE IT INTO A COMMERCIAL!!!!!"
What the hell?
Wtf?
No, just no. This is not worth time even THINKING about.
More than likely the Cadbury people didn't think this up. 99% of cases, advertising companies think up commercials and put them out there.
Unfortunately, some ad companies try to put out ads that might win them awards or recognition, screw the product they are trying to sell. With awards and recognition they can earn more contracts.
On the other hand, some smart advertisers put out ads that have nothing to do with the product but do get people talking about the ad itself. In talking about the ad (as we're doing) we talk about the product.
Side note, agreeing with Sim, Phil Collin rocks indeed.
well i was there and i saw what you did, i saw it with my own two eyes. so you can wipe off that grin, i know where you been, it's all be a pack of gorillies!
seriously, i'm really sorry.
ok. so apparently the reasoning behind this video is: everyone knows cadburys right? (well they do in the uk) everybody loves cadburys right? cadburys gives you joy right? lets show that joy by making adverts entertaining, say by showing a gorilla play drums to a phil collins song. they're known for being generous cos of the glass and a half full thing and now they're just increasing that generosity to our tv sets by making adverts interesting. i know you probably didn't care but i personally needed to get closure on this topic because it was eating me up inside, and i thought id share it.
