I love massive planes. I get to watch the C5's take off all the time from the base. They're so huge it gives the illusion they aren't even moving.

Unlike automobiles, you can't substitute jet fuel with electricity. Also unlike automobiles, nearly all jet emissions make it into the upper atmosphere. A long term environmental quandary to be sure, as it's hard to imagine the modern economy functioning without jet travel.
