Forget another pair of pants, I'll just ride that thing naked and save me the trouble.
Or maybe not, I just got some visuals of a possible outcome.

flappy boobs? no thanks.

also, i'm pretty sur eanything past 90 degrees is LESS than vertical. annnnd therefore slows you down. because of component vector forces.

damnit. physics wins again.

My boobs are fine, thank you.

And I agree: if it's over 90° it can't be more than vertical- I have no idea how they perceive it in a firstplace.
If you use a ground as one angle arm then 97° is an obtuse angle and like cynn said- it slows you down.

Now, if they for some completely idiotic reason used an imaginary horizontal angle arm in the sky, than the tracks would make a reflex angle and then the increased speed would make more sense.
You just have to imagine a reflex angle and then riding on the inner side of the arm that makes an angle.

i'm just saying 4 g's nude would probably best.

my guess is, there's a lot of the "fear factor" in not being able to see the track.

"...few things on this planet provide a bigger thrill than the roller-coaster."

Yar. And here I thought that, by not eating the red ones last in my box of Smarties, I was living on the edge.

I think jumping 100+ m bungee on N.Zealand was more thrilling than any roller coaster.
You can't beat the free fall.
