Tribal Wars isn't half bad either.

If we're talking out of browser MMOs that are still free: Shaiya and Vindictus are both EXCELLENT MMOs. Especially the latter, Shaiya got boring fast, but Vindictus... well you keep comming back to it.

Urban Dead (text based MMORPG on zombies)

and Astroempires.

The latter being more active than the former, but both good for a bit of RP and the latter adds new servers fairly often so new players won't be too far behind if they wanted to join and set up on it.
