The Geocities-izer

I fully realize some of you may be too young to have experienced the full glory of Geocities, and that is astounding to my mighty brain, but fear not! Now you can see what the Internet used to be.

I once received a "worst website ever" award on Geocities. That was the very beginning of my learning HTML. Since then, I have built several websites for local businesses using a combination of PHP, XML, XSL, XHTML, CSS, and JS. XML, XSL, and XHTML are all tag "languages" best designed from within a text editor, not some fancy graphical tool like Dreamweaver. But yep... Geocities was where I started.

Too funny. Brings back memories. Did try one site and the browser just crashed.

Loved what happened on Apple.com.
