Hexcelle

Hexcelle
Hexcelle

I’ve been trying to figure out why this game is called Hexcelle. My best guess so far is that it was created by Sir Hextor Cellesis and that he named the game after his only son, who is also named Hextor. This is all speculation of course.

ok last post from me seriously.vanilla monkey and sir colton ill be glad to help you on kongregate its just this isnt my thing to get on this website and log in i only do that on kongregatebut ig you need any help ill be glad to get you started and i already mentioned how to get a good starting cell.also all the updates to almost all bugs are on kongregate because thats where the game maker made it.some of you are complaining about the aim so ill go ahead and say that it is lined up with the core and the core only so you will have to compensate to adjust to this forase the bullets do not head for your curser.twix man that is not a glitch you are suppose to be able to do that so you can like the game more.sowhatever just to let you know there is a story line in this game though kinda small.you are a small cell trying to survive and grow and you must kill all ten bosses to become top cell and when you beat the game the rest of the story line appears.this is not cheating snowman.it seams you encountered a reapring disorder that i missed.ill spam archigeeks profile on kongregate to fix that up.sorry for the inconvienance.underlord gir that is to make the game chalenging by messing you up if you move around to much.put a tech cell next to a speed cell to fix that and prevent it.bolty there is an end.urban ninja updates have fixed the game and i think you would love the sandbox mode.to get it just kill all ten bosses self destruct and do new game then selct custom cell.it will let you make a cell up to 1000 cells.i quark if you make a cell that is triangular with three sharp points if you implode it will fix itself by forcing the points outward and reseting your cell just stand still or you will tangle it beyond repare.if you need me you know where to find me.please do ask me questions im getting bored out of my mind now.

I beat the game, after you find and kill all 10 bosses you are labeled "King of the petrie dish" I can't spell. You get the idea. After that you can make 1000 Hex Cell which you can make ANYTHING it's so badass :D

Oh yeah, maybe... but I had 237 hexes and 3 bosses defeated.

I started the game again from zero because my celle became impossible to control.

Damn, I've imploded again. With 100+ celles it does that a lot. Achievements say there are only 10 bosses, defeating those may end it, I think.

Actually I've found a great way to go... started putting as many green hexes as possible in order to speed up evolution, then I put 8-9 single red hexes surrounded by yellow ones. The result is that I have a fast-firing multi-shot celle with an enormous green region for fast growing. Plus, I'm putting up a gray armor all around so to make it even harder to destroy.

Usually I tend to shoot some missile volleys before entering an area, they will crush into enemies out-of-screen. This works against bosses too, so I can hit them before they see me (and enemies shoot at me only when they're onscreen).

This is my celle so far, to give you an idea of what strategy I\'m using. 100+ hexes, 11000+ distance, and also got some achievements. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x200/ArcadiaEvander/hexcelle.jpg

This game has SOOOOOOOOOOO much potential, but the biggest dang drawback is trying to aim your projectiles! Half the time I have to Aim back wards while the enemy is moving towards me, while I'm moving to get even close to him...Plus upgrading takes way way to long. Add a little varitey to the food thing, so that I don't have to collect 20+ pieces just to get 1/10 of my way to an upgrade...This game is a real letdown with such drawbacks, otherwise this game could be great.

Nice game, a bit complex but I'm getting at it and I'm liking it very much.
The only thing is that I keep committing suicide each time they rip my cell two or three hexes, it's WAAAY too annoying when they succeed doing so!

    This game.....cheats.....

I had a fairly strong vessel flying about with several mine layers and a few missle launchers. As i came into a new area it told me there were no new cells which wanted to fight, but as i crossed over a checkpoint 10500 two cells ships came (from behind me) and destroyed me.

My strategy usually involves laying a mine field that shoots missles to protect myself while i shoot missles at the enemy ships.

found a bit of a glitch.... when you upgrade your celle you can spawn a new hex of any type while keeping all other hexes as they are, at the cost of 1 mutation...

for instance, if you want to attach an armor hex to a tech hex but there's no armor hexes to take the type of, just mutate the tech hex to armor hex, spawn a new hex attached to the mutated hex, then change the mutated hex back to tech.

The game is fun, the only bad thing is that the missiles you shoot are effected by your momentum and it makes it really hard to shoot single hexcelles or the ones that are very fast, and the enemies don't have this problem.

Cool idea but it is too difficult to upgrade. This game is just too complex in terms of strategy for the average online game. Not many people would want to devote so much time to a game like this and from what I can tell this is a game that takes a lot of devotion.

I have no control over where I'm shooting. If I could aim it would be fun. Also if there was something I could achieve, trophy, points anything!

it seemed really good untill I started playing... the controls are pretty horrible so you can't move steadily at all compared to the hostile celles who seem to have perfect controls... still fun though. also, I agree with nika, all the instructions could be simplified into 1 page and a little tutorial should be included to get you started with a unique custom celle.

Instructions for this game have 9 pages.
If I got a pacemaker installed and I had to read 9 pages of instructions to be able to function properly with the device, I'd just rip it out of my chest.

..What..? How dare you say that, I *never* exaggerate.
