As did I, after seeing him in Family Guy on a few occasions.

    Patrick Stewart is the best.

Actually I thought the ZED was for Betazed the home planet of Deanna Troi.

Hey, we mangled at least 6 languages together :)

You Brits may have invented the language, (via mangling two perfectly good languages) but, in yankee fashion, we perfected it for you. Just like how the Mexicans invented mexican food, and we gave the world Taco Bell.

It's been a while since the last time I watched that.. It's great but quite sad actually .. It was made as a tribute to the man behind Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry after his dead in 1991. :(

As TopMonkey said: at the end of the fifth season of TNG.

Actually we Brit (you know, the ones who invented the language) say "zed" not "zee", too.. and I don't think there's anyone guarding our borders.. maybe some drunken racist Scots?

I object to the blatantly pro-Canadian nature of this song: w, x, y, and "zed"?

As everyone knows Canadians have their borders guarded by beavers (http://www.digyourowngrave.com/talking-highway-beaver/ ) and foist their sweet sweet delicious maple syrup on an unsuspecting world.

On another note, Captain Picard's got surprisingly good rhythm. I understand he's done a lot of stage work.

I dont like it when the captain sings & dances....and neither do I like it when data does his poetry or riker plays his trombone. But every once in a while you have to endure...or buy the dvds and press forward

Obviously he wasn't just goofing around because there were several very clever Trek references in the song. So...now the search begins to find out what this was all about.

Okay...search is over. This was made for the season 5 DVD set extras as a tribute to Gene Roddenberry.

I'd like to know, but Patrick Stewart is too great.

The only problem I have with this is that after he did American Dad, I can't see him as anyone but Deputy Director Bullock.
