Don’t let the beautiful dragonfly fool you – most of the bugs on this site cause me to become very concerned that one of them might be crawling up my leg.

Some bugs deserve to die. Like yellow jackets, hornets, black widows, roaches, and most of the biting and stinging kinds. But I'm not exactly "scared" of bugs, I am mostly grossed out by them and the only ones I am scared of are bees, hornets, and any other flying, biting, and stinging insect. I have good reason to be scared of them to. I'm a little bit allergic, not lethally but if I get stung on my finger my whole arm swells up, and I got stung where the sun don't shine. Not cool.

I did- people who kill little critters just cause they're there really rub me the wrong way.
Of course you're gonna get rid of roaches from your apartment, but why would someone squish a mole cricket or a cicada is something I'll never understand.
    It really is unnecessary carnage.

    It's a cool site anyway.

Nika, did you check out the "unnecessary carnage" section?

Nika is one of those rare sciency kind of girls. You know, the ones that usually have bad acne problems, braces, and big glasses? Yeah, take off all of that and there she is.

I don't care what that guy says about banana spiders being harmless, those mofos are scary as hell. They've probably already put together plans for world domination. Now they're layin'low, and you only see 'em on What's The Bug, but tommorow they'll band together with the commies and BAM! World War III: Revenge of the Banana Spider.

Centipedes are not bugs (bug meaning an insect in layman terms I guess), they're Myriapods- not that it matters to anyone here but me. ;)
House centipedes are absolutely harmless and very useful, however all centipedes (harmless or otherwise) have the same skin crawling effect on normal people.

this little feind is my worst nightmare: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_centipede

the encounters i've had with these bugs still make my skin crawl. they're fast, agile, and really scary looking. of course, they're virtually harmless and seem to be solitary creatures, not to mention they actively hunt the crummy bugs that like to infest homes.

still, if given the choice between waking up with one of these on my nose staring down at me or a common cockroach? i'd go with the cockroach.

Boomarked in FF, favorited on DYOG.
Maybe I should email a guy and ask him does he need any help. ;)
Also, I want a Rainbow Bush Locust badly- I would name him Lloyd and watch him munch on meal worms and salad for hours.
