Forgot about this vid... Still think this is cool...
And after watching "Lock 'n Load" on the history channel, I know that Glocks have both a semi-automatic and a full automatic setting...
Or at least the one they showed on the show did...

Everything I need to know about the UK I learned from Jason Statham and Daniel Craig.

That gun is ridiculous. Nobody needs a fold-up SMG. They're just trying to sell real-life GI Joe toys to emotionally stunted man-children.

Bloody hell i am glad i live here in the UK where we dont have chaps like this wandering around , Thankfully we live in a civilized society .

Exactly Sean. Once every college student in Flint Michigan has a semi-automatic weapon in their pocket you'll finally be able to feel safe!

May 16th, 2011 at 1:17 am Sean says:

I live in Flint Michigan. Two weeks ago three of my classmates were mugged by five armed men, one of them was pistol whipped for "not having enough cash". This sort of thing happens at least once every three months on my college campus, sometimes during daylight.

That is why law abiding citizens need this weapon.

Salmander is an idiot if he thinks that gunsmiths have no idea how to change a semi-auto to a full auto. These guys build guns, I think they know the simple process.

So would you just scare the coyote with this thing, or shoot it on the spot and take photos of it so you can post them on the facebook?

March 16th, 2011 at 10:54 am Rob says:

Bluerocker is a freakin' idiot. First of all, it's not a "machine gun." Second, there are plenty of situations where a flashlight gun may come in handy. Aside from what's been mentioned, I've been in a couple of situations where coyotes have tried attacking me, or getting between me and my house, at night. Magpul has clearly come up with a neat tool for numerous situations.

we like guns because they have the power to kill people instantly without having to shoot them in the eye or whatever like 'lol?' said. i hope to god he/she was just trolling because that was one of the dumbest comments that i've seen in a while.

Well, if you're walking around in the bad parts of Oakland at night, this could come in handy. I like how the flashlight can double as your tac light. The folding/unfolding action is pretty slick too.

I dont get the point of actually needing a real weapon for any reason, why not a rubber-bullets gun? if you shoot a rubber bullet in ones head he might get a big mark and a lot of pain, shoot one in the head with a glock and he might die instantly/by injuries. and why not flashlight-pepperspray/blue or red thief-spray?

GNux, I was trying to make the distinction between a semi-automatic and fully automatic. Most handguns like the Glock this was built around are semi-automatic. You pull the trigger and get one shot. A fully automatic gun is what most people think of when you say "machine gun". With a fully automatic gun it keeps firing as long as you hold the trigger or until it runs out of bullets. Semi-autos are legal to own and can be carried concealed with a permit in 33 states. Full-autos are highly restricted and very illegal for most folks to own.

March 20th, 2008 at 2:01 am Niruz says:

Man, that would be soooo usefull. Like say you were out in the dark, and had to shoot something.... Ok maybe it isnt THAT usefull, but still pretty neat.

It would probably be illegal if you tried to pass it off as a flashlight but if you had a license for it then disguising it wouldnt make it illegal.

Make sure that the button that opens it up is not too close to the button that would turn the flashlight on and off...

March 19th, 2008 at 5:44 pm GNux says:

Glocks come in automatic, Salamander. And automatic weapons are most usually illegal in big cities. Because, you know, it only makes sense to disallow law-abiding citizens from protecting themselves from those who are willing to break the law to get what they want.

Even though he says it's a "machine gun" in the vid I don't think it is. It's built around a Glock handgun. If it were a fully automatic "machine gun" it would be extremely illegal to own unless you had a class 3 weapons permit.
