Personal space has no respect for the Japanese.
funnier the second time :)
Feminists scare me.
I have to say I am ashamed of my fellow Japanese.
Nika is spot on in her assessment of the dangers of commuting for women in Japan. Just read this story to find out more:

I would love that job. It probably pays badly, but it would be a sweet gig.
sardines anyone....Anyone?
How do people get that job anyway? It must be a really interesting interview and skills test.
"OK. Take your hand and push it as hard as you can on my ass....Good. You're hired!
Donut, I am from the US, and we have screwed up measurments, so I thought you ment 43 degrees Farienheit, which is pretty chily.
First time I heard about this from a friend that lived in Tokyo for 3 years: my initial thought was that I'd have to take a happy pill before this train experience.
Seriously, I dread of strangers rubbing against me on a public transit- and this kinda commute looks like perverts wet dream. Poor Japanese women.
Jesus!
To the guy below me, I was in japan for a short time and while I'm not sure if this is the norm this is what i saw.
If you anticipate getting off at a large station it doesn't matter where in the train you are the entire car will empty out no matter what, if you are getting off at a small stop then you will have to make sure you are close to the door or else you have to go to the next large station and then take a train going the other way.
so if you are stuck in the middle, and your stop is here, how do you get out?
z0MG.
Seriously, why don't they just add one or two wagons?
"Shudder" I`ve just checked this on Google, so much sweat! It can be up to 49 degrees in trains. Not to forget about the horror of being stuck between 3 fat guys.
the wmata should do this on the orange line every day coming into rosslyn. its ridiculous.
why not remove all doors, i estimate a high decline in train traffic if they'd do that
