Let’s Have Some Phun

Phun is a free, downloadable 2D physics sandbox. You can do pretty much anything in it. I was actually able to model Einstein’s Theory of Relativity and send a crudely drawn square back in time to kill it’s own parents, thereby erasing itself from existence. Either that or I pressed the undo button, I’m not sure. Video of Phun-in-action after the jump.

It's sad that you can't use electromagnetism.

I think this was one of the coolest things, ever. I might have ADD or something, but this thing held my attention for a whole day. I mainly sat down and experimented with building different ways to launch projectiles.

First, I built the closest thing to a gun I could think of. It was two long rectangles parallel to each other to form the barrel, and one on the back, then inside I made a crudely-drawn 'bullet' and then I cloned a ton of circles behind it, so they clipped and repelled each other. It works best if the density is turned up on everything, and there is no friction. I used this to destroy buildings that I built, complete with little people all over the place.

    >:D

I also experimented with making something like a catapult (like in the video), and pushing a projectile with a piston-like machine, so I could actually use my keyboard to control it.

It's pretty fun but lags with large objects and water particles what not. I'd be playing it now but I got interupted, it's addicting when you want to build metoers to destroy towns and cars and stuff.

Lol, I downloaded it. Pretty fun little sandbox. Held my attention for an hour or so... until I went a bit overboard on the circles and crashed it. :)
