i raced on a veledrome a lot like this when i was younger, and for everyone who is dissing it you should get out and try riding on it. Its waaaaaay steeper in person, and if you fall during a race your screwed because you are ran over by other cyclists going like 30 mph then you fall down the embankment and into the concrete.

I thought that was a great video. He took what I would have otherwise (along with many Americans) thought was a stupid sport and made it interesting. I love it when people can open my eyes to the real complexities of something in a very basic way. Nice job Admin!

*Nihilist Ninja says: if he can learn to do it in a few hours i doubt it's that hard.*

Yes, he obviously mastered it- that's the point of the video. *eyeroll*
Just like triathlon is 'only' swimming, running and cycling- everybody can do that, right..?

Rick Mercer is always fun to watch. I remember once he did wheel chair basketball. That was funny. He used to do a Talking to Americans part (I think) on This Hour has 22 Minutes. Heres one: http://youtube.com/watch?v=BhTZ_tgMUdo

personally i dont see what's so great about it. It's like nascar on a bike, and if he can learn to do it in a few hours i doubt it's that hard.

looks pretty terrifying. If i wanted to go around in circles on a bike I would just go out in my cul-de-sac.
