This seems like a good example of why companies should reconsider outsourcing their call centers to magical foreign lands.

I have a lot of personal experiance with annoying customers- I work since I was 16 and before I graduated from Uni those were usually kinda jobs that are in the general opinion occupied by people who can't get anything better.
So while selling tickets in the movie theater (for example) I was often called a retard and had manager called on me when I said that show is sold out. For some idiots that meant I had 'an attitude'.
Maybe that's why nowadays I'm even more sensitive about employees that DO deserve to get a manager in their face.
I also leave huge tips when everything is ok. :)

Just speaking from personal experience here guys, don't bite my big head off. This isn't a declaration of war against customers; I'm saving that for work tomorrow.

I hope you're kidding too, man.
I don't care if it's over the phone or not, or if you've just met them; as somebody whose job it is to deal with other people, there's a certain standard you should demand to uphold. "The customer is always right". Managers are experienced with dealing with unruly customers anyway; unless the employee made a mistake, there shouldn't be any repercussion against them.

    Little girl.

Sure, if it's a phone call you just say 'f*ck off' and hang up- but if this happened in a store I'd definitely be talking to a manager.
Of course, there are people that cry for manager with no reason- this is not the case though.

I hate when people feel the need to speak with a manager to discuss the job performance of someone they just met.

They should also reconsider hiring mental patients.
