Anti-Gym, of Denver Colorado, is billed as the Extreme Cheddar version of the normal health club, and they have the Extreme banned-from-TV commercial to back it up.

i too dug a lil deeper, as a matter of fact, did all sorts of watchin his television interviews and whatnot as well...

Everything Id said was purely on here was based on here-say and unfortunately wasnt correct...

basically, I've changed my views, and i recommend reading and learning more as i have instead of basing my desicions of a single commercial...

I could go on, but id just leave it at that...

Actually, it looks like for some people, this is what they need. On the surface, the whole advertising theme is offensive. But when you dig a bit deeper, it's meant to shock you into looking into it further.

This quote from their website explains the whole 'no chubbies' thing.
A “chubby” is not necessarily someone with a spare tire or thunder thighs, it’s an unmotivated, lazy slob who wants to blame everybody else but themselves for their shortcomings. Anti-Gym turns chubbies into champions, breaking through the victim mindset to teach effort and self-accountability as the way to a healthy body and great lifestyle. We have many clients who are overweight at first, but they cease to be chubbies the moment they decide to do something about it.

So you can be a skinny chubby, if you're lazy too. The guy has balls, I'll give him that, but he's definitely attacking the obesity problem in our world today.

The other commercials on the site are pretty funny too.

At first I had no idea what was going on. It was just random. Then when the guy came out I understood. Pretty funny the no chubbies shirt.

I live in denver and actually have only HEARD of this place before...

Frankly i find the idea not just disturbing, but APPALLING!!! I keep myself in good shape, but ANY one should have that option...

I may have my opinions about obese people as well, but the only time i give em props is when theyre DOIN something about it!! if i see an overweight person running, biking or at the gym RIGHT FREAKIN ON!

the idea that this "gym" or...anti-gym doesnt allow that to happen...

well...i'd say "may god have mercy on their souls" but SCREW THAT!!! BURN MF'S BURN!!!

who ever came up with this...well...their time will come im sure...

Actually, Victoria Secret models are usually not skinny- in fact it's demanded they have curves to fill in that underwear just right. ;)
I know what you mean about the subtle message of media opposed to this one- you just chose a wrong example.

I like the Victoria's Secret...
I REALLY LIKE Victoria's Secret...
I guess this means that I am part of the problem.

Ya there site is pretty scary. I initially thought that banning them was a good idea but they would then have to ban all the fashion shows and magazines. Really, the message of skinny girls in Victoria's Secret is the same as this gym's 'No Chubbies' slogan. The only difference is that one is a little more subtle and subconscious than the other.
I personally don't like either

Just visited the site and I wouldn't come close to that place: seems like a combination of a gym and a swing club. And I don't mean dancing. ;)
I have my own opinion about obese people but I avoid summing it into "MOOO! MOOO! You're never gonna have a hubby if you're a chubby!" :P
