The birds r trying to see how far they can bend the tree witout breaking it lolz :D
1. The tree was bending because off the birds!
2. Amazing the didn't get craped on.
thats really strange. ive never seen so many birds in one place like that. :/
Dear cynnicysm,
I maintain many odd lists on my computer (list of people I wanna smack in the head, list of my panties, list of my odd lists..etc :P) , but this one is from my 'work' folder. ;)
And will you get an account already..? :P
that was awsome _
When the birds swarmed around that tree, i honestly thought that the video was a joke, because it looked like when the landed on the tree that they were taking the shape of a giant bat. Also, a car was approaching to it sounded like it was coming alive.
what on earth would posses you to maintain such an odd list nika?
Looks cookable...
I dunno... It kinda looks like fun... :)
im having BBQ tonight...
Well its finally happened.
Break out the flame throwers and pigeon poison people, we're going to war.
Couldn't find the exact list anywhere online, but I have it in one of my pdf's so I'll just c/p: flathead catfish, green crab, purple loosestrife, brown tree snake, rosy wolfsnail, miconia, tamarisk, balsam wooly adelgid, Chinese tallow, zebra mussel, hydrilla, and leafy spurge..
WWF: http://www.wwf.org/
thanks for the info nika, would you happen to have a weblink to both the us 'dirty dosen' list or the WWF site?
It's not rash , just a bit radical. ;)
U.S. has something called (in a nerd slang ;) ) a "Dirty Dozen"- list of 12 most invasive non native species that influence ecosystems..
Starlings make conservation work harder as they are very aggressive in taking nest sites, but they're not a priority.. They are not protected though -so feel free to ruin some nests of theirs, build bird houses in your back yard and make sure they get inhabited by blue birds or purple martins.
And if you end up working for WWF I might be your boss. :P (not really, I'm in Europe ;) )
yes nika im sure im being a bit rash, but they ARE an invasive species...
and as far as controllinga biotope balance... well see what job I end up with before letting the jury out on that one }:)
wow.. birds..
I'm not a big bird fan but I'm still happy that Lobo will never be in position to influence a biotope balance.. ;)
Nice thumbnail Admin- it's my favorite part of the movie: Tippi climbing on the attic drawn by mysterious sounds. Sure they have been attacked by the birds all night, but that doesn't mean THEY are making that sound.. :P
Slow news day.
this reminds me of how much i hate European starlings... i think that in America they should all be shot, and although peta would complain it would benefit the health of native bird populations immensely
wtf crazy birds,
now just 1 question, where are the cats
