best commercial ever = hate something, change something by toyota.
The more commercials that end up here, the more you'll see I have no patience for them. This kept me watching until the end but thats because I'm here; Not on the TV. Even if advertisers come up with something funny or clever (for example, I like the geico caveman commercials)I still won't acknowledge I enjoyed it for three reasons.
1)I'm bitter like that.
2)I want to watch the show/movie not the latest developments in tampon technology as opposed to their competitors.
3) The best commercials are few and far between; Meaning by the time a mildly entertaining one comes on I'm already too bored to care, or my loss of patience has turned me into a resentful scrub.
To keep myself sane I ultimately stopped watching TV. The crap commercials surrounded crap shows on all channels. Then the corner of the screen became a festering pool where the station's latest creation of their colon set up their cry for ratings.
This has nothing to do with this video now so I'll stop as well.
I like this commercial (even though animals doing people tasks scares the sh*t put of me) , and Ziggy is right : big advertisers do not have to flash their product and repeat its name 200x in a minute and a half in order to brainwash the consumer. Good product advertises itself- viral ads are just bonus for us.
I don't know why you guys don't think this advertisement is awesome.
Gorialla mb'ing while playing the drums = Chocolate Bar
You decide what is wrong with this statement.
ok. so apparently the reasoning behind this video is: everyone knows cadburys right? (well they do in the uk) everybody loves cadburys right? cadburys gives you joy right? lets show that joy by making adverts entertaining, say by showing a gorilla play drums to a phil collins song. they're known for being generous cos of the glass and a half full thing and now they're just increasing that generosity to our tv sets by making adverts interesting. i know you probably didn't care but i personally needed to get closure on this topic because it was eating me up inside, and i thought id share it.
well i was there and i saw what you did, i saw it with my own two eyes. so you can wipe off that grin, i know where you been, it's all be a pack of gorillies!
seriously, i'm really sorry.
More than likely the Cadbury people didn't think this up. 99% of cases, advertising companies think up commercials and put them out there.
Unfortunately, some ad companies try to put out ads that might win them awards or recognition, screw the product they are trying to sell. With awards and recognition they can earn more contracts.
On the other hand, some smart advertisers put out ads that have nothing to do with the product but do get people talking about the ad itself. In talking about the ad (as we're doing) we talk about the product.
Side note, agreeing with Sim, Phil Collin rocks indeed.
Wtf?
No, just no. This is not worth time even THINKING about.
Seriouslt did the Cadbury people sit down in a boardroom somewhere and actually go "Ok, brainstorming time you over there tell me your idea."
"Well what if we made a gorilla play the drums while listening to Phil Collins?"
"Thats the best idea ever MAKE IT INTO A COMMERCIAL!!!!!"
What the hell?
I agree with everyone this commercial is tottaly idiotic and it has no point
i saw this advert on tv last night, and i just dont understand it. i dont like tv adverts that makes me think.
I get that exact same look when I'm sitting on the porcelain throne trying to squeeze out some chocolate. Ironic, don't you think?
this looks so wrong to start with. and i agree with chebaka, this has no relevance to chocolate in any way.
on a minor note.....Phil Collin rocks
Not only do commercials come every 5 minutes to interrupt your crappy show, but they have lost all relevance to their product now.
