Personally I find the idea of two goalies fighting to be rather amusing. How could they actually be mad at each other? “Look at him over there, staring at me. Does he think that just because he’s 200 feet away I can’t see him? Wait, I think he just flipped me the bird!” |

I loved this fight. I watched the whole thing unfold right on the tv, then watched it over and over with DVR, lol. I gotta say though, these announcers aren't as cool sounding or at least sound as interested as Rick Jeanneret and Jim Lorenz.
Americans, you all need to watch more hockey to understand how it all works...
David is an idiot... Hextall is definatly not the only goalie to ever score a goal. As a matter of fact Martin Brodeur has done it in the playoffs.
I can think of one other black hockey player - Grant Fuhr. He was a goalie too, and a very good one at that.
Peters is great... he'd knock the sh*t out of one guy, get up, drag a player off of one of the Sabres - kick his ass - then look for another guy to smack around... finding Emery... it was hilarious
its pretty funny that everyone is fighting... its not like 2 guys, its the whole effing team against the other whole effing team. i like it c:
I played goal for a while. Emery reminds me a LOT of ron HExtall, who had 1) more penalty minutes for fighting than any goaltender I can ever think of and 2) is the only goalie to ever score a goal in the NHL. Normally the team tough guy is NOT the goalie. Hextall, and now Emery (who smiles through fights just like Hextall did) seem to be the exceptions.
Also, the reason they don't break up the fights until they hit the ice, the boards or one is just getting thier ass kicked is because fights DO serve a purpose in a game that intense. The officials let them get it out of thier systems. BTW, fighting IS a 5 minute major, and a game misconduct (ejection) for being the third man into a fight (Buffalo's Peters jumped in on Emery and probably got booted, although I don't know about this particular game.
On a scale of 1 - 10 this fight was about a 6.8
i was shocked to find out the goalie was black. i did not know there were any of us playing hockey

no in hockey fights are legal. They let the players fight until they hit the ice or run into the glass. sometimes they stop the fight if someone is getting really baddly hurt. GO SABERS!
erm.. correct me if I'm wrong, but when that happens, instead of cheering them on, don't they try and STOP it!?
