Avatar Machine is a system which replicates the aesthetics and visuals of third person gaming, allowing the user to view themselves as a virtual character in real space via a head mounted interface.

    my guess is that you outfit yourself in the suit and your vision is completely blocked by a tv screen in a box in front of your face. on that tv screen is a live feed of the camera that's attached to your back.

    and probably just like in gaming, there's some lag, which will invariably mean you'll run into a tree or get beat up by trolls/cops.
