I have never really understood the tower defense games, but by golly they are fun. And I don’t understand what is the deal with the elements, so someone feel free to enlighten me on that. It says the creator of this game has scored 90 points. I scored 11. Less is better right? |

The game becomes impossible around level 125 because you'll have so many towers that they start to disappear every time to you build one.

Hey, crazycookie, I agree with you. The leaf towers are the cheapest to upgrade and have the best attack in the end, except for the flower. The water has the farthest range, and the fire just sucks.

Why do people say the 3000 tower sucks? It does't suck it has 9000 power, It just seems that way becauss you never upgraded it AND you're in the 60+'s Oh sorry I'M in the 60+'s when I can affourd it.
Well let me explain this to everyone right now....
I'm supposing that every one here knows that the maximum power gained from a tower is 909090 (Nine Hundred Nine Thousand Ninety for those of you who are brain dead) And we "all" know that it's impossible to get the required 23,000$ to buy this immense tower. SO! What I'm about to explain to you will make your answer your questions concerning the ultimate tower.
The Ultimate Tower = 95.2222 - 96.11985 Levels. (Rounding off to Level 95 - 96. This shows you at what level, when determining the possible money gained, it can be achieved at.
Power = 185,921. This means that to survive to that level without getting raped in the ass by little dots is physically impossible, hence solving the question whether it was possible to get past level 85.
Equation.... [185,921*23,000/(95/95*23,000)]/95.5 =20.600003534602436678003042314680234 etc....
The equation demonstrated that it IS in fact impossible to reach that level. Proof!
The number 20.6 is above the power/fairness ratio of 2:1 by .6, making the game more unfair every single round past 80. Why 80? Because by then the power of each dots are increased drammatically decreasing the fairness factor....

i used only 1 fire in the beggining and then use plant type i got 10 plant and 3 flower and some other rubbishs
i just got 75, but my tip is to use the fire ones only in the beguinning, and only upgrade them 4 times, then just leave them. i use 1 fire in the beguinning to help me get started, upgrade it 4 times, and then use only plant type. but thats me. also only build at the ends of rows, they shoot a lot faster!

The Ctrl-w cheat does NOT work.
Do checkout the "Living Tower", which is the highest level nature tower. According to the above pricing list (comment 47) ,you'll see that to do a full nature tower upgrade costs $2375, has a range of 215 and has 9000 damage. The flower tower level 1 costs $3000, has 100 range and also does 9000 damage. The nature tower has the same damage, costs cheaper, and has much higher range. :)
Note though, the flower tower is only good when upgraded to at least level 2.
if you hold ctrl and the w key you will automatically be given 5000 dollers
I got to level 78 using one water tower near the center of the entire board. (Make sure it is closer to the left and when you get to the $160 upgrade it will reach from the middle of the screen to the upper left.) Also check the upgrades for the Nature tower it tells you $640 to upgrade to 3645 damage points, but when you click on the tower again it only shows 1458 damage. The rest of the board I filled with the 9000 damage powered nature towers by the time I get to the upper 70s levels it seems impossible to destroy those dots. BTW I tried the money cheat and it doesn't work - alt_shift_tilda, level 42, nothing. Let me know if there is a cheat for $$ it'd be interesting to get the flower's 3rd level.
i got to 328. if you hold down the spacebar for a while, when all the dots die your level will rise for as long as it takes for the next wave to come.
I think that the earth element Is the strongest because of ist massive fire power when it is folly upgraded. Whithout using cheats I made it to leval 117

after a couple of months of not playing, reached 74 by starting off with a row of water-towers in the center row, next to the second straight.
This because a fully upgraded ice-tower can reach the entire path from the middle...
Check this out on the nature towers... the next to the last upgrade claims to be 3645 damage, but when you get it, the "damage" listed on the tower is under 2000. Which is correct?
I can't crack the low to mid 70s. I build one regular tower (usually water) and then nature towers around that. Still, I can't keep up in the late 60s, and I never have the cash I need for really sweet stuff.
I do better leading in with a row of water towers (I star off with five in a row along the first straightaway.
Then just keep upgrading them. The waves don't even make it past the first corner till you are in your 30's

The cheat is kind of stupid, and makes the game really boring. All you do is hold down the space bar the entire time. After the end of a wave, it will skip to the next one, but since you're holding it down, it skips to the next one after that because there are no enemies on the screen.

and so on untill wave 11:13 money
wave 21: 24 money
the money increases as each wave comes
wave 1: 1 money
Also, I dont think anyone has said this yet, but I'm pretty sure that the amount of money received is equal to the level number per dot, so by that logic, the amount you make per completed level is multiples of 8:
Level 1: 8 tokens
Level 10: 80 tokens
Level 20: 160 tokens
level 30: 240 tokens
Level 40: 320 tokens
Level 50: 400 tokens
Level 60: 480 tokens
Level 70: 560 tokens
Just take your level and multiply by 8!

If you're on PC you should have "Print Screen" or simmilar named button somewhere on the top right side of your keyboard. Press it, and then open Paint--> Edit---> Paste--> Save . For this particular game upload it on http://imageshack.us/ for example and paste the link here.. For games that have high scores you upload it directly from your comp..I'm not sure for Mac since I use it only at work but I think it's system button + 3 that automatically saves it.. Hope I helped.. :)
Hey guys, I'm new to this game and am now just as addicted! I was getting in the low 60's, and then I read this forum and tweaked my tower placement and with that my current high is 73.

yo wtf guys this game is hard past lv 77 whats the best start i noticed flowers thingies are the best with 1 water for back up where should i put the flowers they green and ugly and the waves are black and strong it gets sooo annoying
i know the glitch and the cheat to get millions of points but i only got up to 1154 and then i cant be bothered to keep going. Except they only show 2 digits so if u get 315 it will only show 31 if u get 999 it will show 99 and if u get 102319762 it will only 10, and the glitch is to hold spacebar and dont let go then click game start and dont let go of the space bar

the best strategy is to start off with 3 water towers in the 1st column and two in the second. upgrade all of them as needed. when you get to around lvl 15 add two nature towers on the right hand side corners and upgrade. by lvl 30 u will have enough for the flower cannon and the upgrade. the enemies health increase by x1.25 an so does the money they give. hopw this helps.
p.s i get to lvl 435 this way. just keep adding flower cannons
also i got 65 cause 2nd level flower thing disapeared

at lvl 38 you should have enough to buy 2 petal towers or upgrade the 1st
put 3 ice towers in the first column and two nature in the second. space them evenly and upgrade when u can. u get the flower tower at lvl 32 if u do it this way!

I got 68. Not the best. Started off with 8 water down the middle lane, got them upgraded once each and then got 6 fire and bottom of first lane and kept upgrading. After a while put 2 grass at start and 2 grass at end and got those upgraded.

Guys, the elements dont do anything, its just for fun. I got to 91 so... My plan was to load up 3 by 6 fully upgraded water cannons, it works really well. The plant thing owns too, I put it at the end and it saved me a lot!

They shoot faster at 90 degree angles because the dots are closest to the tower typically. There must be some kind of code that prevents a tower from firing until its 3rd or 4th shot has reached its target..
it's good to have leafs and waters... because they will always atk the dot that's the farthest away from them and stick with it until it goes beyond the sight or w/e :| and its really bs because you could have a black dot in front and a gray behind so both will reach your castle because all your things atkd the black ones...
so you should spread em out..try putting them in front of the pathway thingys...they shoot way faster at 90degree angles :\ (so it seems)

earth = medium at first, medium to upgrade... range is ok but it sucks until you have it maxed it's horrible if you're at 60-70 lvl in the game and broke..because u can never upgrade it..
flower tower = uhh good but range sucks and every time i get 5k to upgrade it i always use on earth because i know if i upgrade id die :(

I have seen the dots spawn grey also, but I don't know what to make of it.
I can't get that second upgrade on the flower tower either. The best I've done is to have a flower tower upgraded once (for 5,000) and then save ca. 7,800; then I died.

also has anyone come up with any way of feasibly getting the flower tower to upgrade twice? i can't figure any way to save 15k at all.
has anybody made any heads or tails of the bad guys spawning grey in the later levels(70's-ish?)? i've noticed that they'll spawn grey(mostly dead?) but then towers hit them and they turn completely black. i wonder if using storm towers or some different element might make them die right off instead of going black? any ideas on that?

80, I put green towers at the end of every strait away and had them mostly all fully upgraded
seems like maximizing the range of each tower is totally key. i put my natures bunched in the center, and some fire near the start in the center of the building space near the bottom so they'll hit them as they round the first hairpin. the waters shoot most of the way across the map, so they can be put kind of wherever you want to maximize their range.

.....the greens suck at all stages besides 2nd last and last...even at 2nd last it still sucks unless u upgrade which is *kinda* tough

This game is good.. except for the massive GLITCH YEAH GLITCH i scored 115 with like 4 water cannons and a nature thing because there is a level about 55 is were if you keep tapping space your level will increase really quickly the only problem is you dont get money i would post a screen shot but couldnt be bothered ... do it your self just continue to press space bar the whole way through the game

flower = strong and fast ungrade but expensive
daisy = low range but high damage(impossible to get 3rd upgrade)
i suggest start with water and fire first, plan the tower so that it make straight contact with the dots, water should be plan at the longer road so it shoot faster and further, fire at the begining to quickly reduce the xp of dots, dont ever buy the daisy shit its a bad idea

the only way to believe someone is by looking at their screenshots, if they have very little to no towers, they used the cheat, if they have a screen full of towers, they more than likly cheated.
there is a cheat where you can go to any level you want, that is how people are getting to level like 300, and there are more than a thousand levels, you can't beat it.

I can teel that fire is bad. Water is a good starter and at 40+ plant is good. When your rich enuf, flower is good after the third upgrade.

I am getting 80 consistently.
It seems as if the towers fire faster at 90 degree angles (directly up, down, left, right). I don't know if the visual firing rate actually reflects how often the towers are doing damage, but the two do seem to correlate. Therefore, putting towers at the end of straightaways seems to give your towers the most chance to fire rapidly at approaching dots. Does anyone else notice this?
Also, fully-upgraded nature towers (at a total cost of $2,375 and dealing 9,000 dmg.) give you 3.79 damage points per dollar, the best ratio of any combination except the fully upgraded flower tower, which at a total cost of $23,000 and dealing 909,090 dmg. would be a whopping 39.53 dmg/$ ratio; but I think we all agree that it is impossible to hoard enough cash for that final upgrade.
Anyone have any other tips?

If you hold down the space bar between waves, the wave count goes up quick... those that get over 80s are invariable using that "trick."
After many hours, I've reached 84. I'm not sure anyone else has gotten over 83-85 legitimately (except supposedly the author who claims 90)
Other people have calculated the $per unit per level and damage requirement per unit per level and have conclusively concluded that the last flower upgrade is impossible to get.... ever. You need to purchase attack power at a greater frequency than you can save up for the 3rd upgrade.
i got to 98 and that is extremely hard went with fire and water. fire up close but not to many fire manly water.

I got 74 and a buddy has gotten up to 77, but thats the highest so far.
water = high range
fire = cheap and fast upgrade
flower = strong and fast ungrade but expensive
daisy = low range but high damage

I got to 69
74 is the magic number for me. At that point, the maxed out plant turrets become outdated, and I'm left about 10k short of the maxed flower turret. I'm not sure why you'd bother with fire or water turrets though - they seem to be totally outclassed by plant turrets.

113 B*TCHES get 2 of each tower fully upgraded and get the daisy thing, might suck in hte beginging but does alot after its upgraded
although this game is good, it would be pretty damn awsome if you could sell some towers to buy others...just a thought.

I thought the fire and water might be counter-acting each other too, but I can't say for sure.

i got to 82 using mainly the earth element and some ice but it is over all a awsome game i like defend your castle games
I've thrice lost to a glitch in which it removes one of my upgraded ice towers when I place a new one. I'm placing them very close together. Not cool.

does anyone know the best way to good in this game, i had 6 water cannons in the first corner, and some plant cannons, all fully upgraded near the middle adn i got to 70
i got to 75...seems impossiable from there on, the flower thingie is only good on the third level, but cost 15k and i dont see how its possiable to get it...but if u did get it, u could dominate
I got 67 on my first try, Ill probably come back later with another score because I love this game, would have been better with sound. Now I want to go play Warcraft3...

After just seeing what the units look like when they are upgraded I got to level 69. Goofing off improved my score.

first 8. After upgrading instead of using small units 59
I got 75 on my third or fourth try. . fun game! I started with one thunderstorm and one plant, then upgraded that one to the max, and kept adding plants.
I got 79. Great game. It's tough to save enough to upgrade the 'daisy thing,' but if you ever upgrade the daisy twice, it does like 90,000 damage.
i love this game
the daisey thing suck unless u have a lot to spend next upgrade is 5000 so start saving early if u get it. i go tto level 72
