I don’t really know whats going on here, but I do know that North American cats would have no part of this tom-foolery. None whatsoever.

    I had always assumed that the cats in Japan had a naturally manic look to them, but maybe that's because the only pictures I've seen of them involve the cats wearing ridiculous clothing.

    It doesn't mention (well, maybe it does) how many photographers perished in the making of the pictures. From the look of it, those cats weren't too excited about it either.

    agreed. This is not something North American cats would submit to. There would be hissing, growling and then the scratching/biting would begin making the cat owner wish they had tried this on a dog instead.
